| In 1968 two brothers, John and Arthur Dailey left their home land, the Isle of Man in search of a new opportunities. Both of the brothers are successful sidecar road racers and they wished to pursue an exciting new career in the motorcycle industry. They still continued to race the sidecars and won three different championships along the way. Today, with over 40 years of experience in the motorcycle industry, John and Art have teamed up together to continue the Motorcycle City legacy. Now here is the story on how Motorcycle City got started on it's feet. Motorcycle City ( LTD ) was established by John Dailey in 1978 as a Suzuki dealership, after 9 years of hard work and numerous sales , the dealership was closed due to a downturn in the motorcycle industry and also so that John could concentrate on his passion ( Mechanics and sidecar road racing ). 12 years after the shop closed, John and his brother Art decided to re-open Motorcycle City as a repair shop. In December 1999 Motorcycle City, now known as Motorcycle City Inc. reopened their doors to the public once again to service all Japanese motorcycles. In the early part of 2005, Motorcycle City took on a new line of motorcycles and scooters from a company called Hyosung. Now with the shop being O.M.V.I.C certified, the service shop was transformed into a dealership again but with the repair services available in the same shop. Along with motorcycles, Motorcycle City is also a Dune Buggie and Moped sales and service store. Only time will tell what areas of interest Motorcycle City will venture to next. |
